Noah Strong raises One Kids Place

“This donation is very special to us as it will provide families with specialized equipment to give children and young people the opportunity to participate fully in their daily lives”

Charity organization NoahStrong recently made a generous donation to One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Center.

The organization, which honors the November 2020 passing of North Bay hockey player Noah Dugas, presented a check for $25,000 that will go towards the One Kids Place equipment loan program.

This program supports the purchase of very unique pieces for teenagers and young people with mobility and movement problems.

“With this wonderful donation, we will be able to support our customers with items that might otherwise be unavailable to them,” Brenda Loubert, General Manager of One Kids Place said in a statement.

We are happy to source specialized water access chairs for the beach or pools, suitable life jackets, a snow sled as well as freewheels and a specialized portable winch for families.

“Pieces of equipment like this allow children and young people to participate fully in their daily lives, with minimal limitations. Thanks to Jody, Dave, Jorja and the charity NoahStrong for recognizing the need for equipment like this and donating to enable us to support children and young people in our community.

Jody Dugas, mother of Noah Dugas, says the donation hits home.

“Just before Noah passed away, we were launching services and equipment with One Kids Place to meet his needs once he was back home. This donation is very special to us as it will provide families with specialized equipment to give children and young people the opportunity to participate fully in their daily lives. said Jody Dugas of the charity NoahStrong.

The One Kids Place Equipment Loaner Program allows families, caregivers and schools to borrow specialized equipment and therapy resources for periods of time when needed and once returned it is cleaned, returned new and can be loaned again. The Equipment Loaner Program also allows equipment to be used for its entire life cycle and purpose while giving families choice and opportunity to use their child’s therapy equipment.
