Going through Variety, No coming home surpassed $760.9 million on Monday, surpassing James Cameron Avatar. However, that’s probably as far as Spidey can climb nationally. The top two national record holders of all time are Star Wars: The Force Awakens with $936 million, and Avengers: Endgame with $858 million. No Way Home strikes.
As for Avatar, its status as the all-time world champion at the box office is secured at $2.802 billion. Variety also notes that No coming homedomestic take is more than three times the $224 million Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings And that film was the second highest-grossing domestic film of 2021. The Marvel brand remains strong even during the pandemic, but Spidey is an icon in his own right. There were also returning cast members who helped push this sequel into the stratosphere. It would be extremely difficult to recreate this success.
Right now, No coming homeThe final domestic box office is expected to reach around $785 million.
