GRAPHS: COD Modern Warfare 2 pre-orders reach second place

Pre-orders for the latest entry in the Call of Duty series skyrocketed the Steam charts this week.

These have gone from fifth place last week to second place this week, while another edition of the game has moved up to fourth place. This is ahead of the release of Modern Warfare 2 on October 28, and follows a preview footage showing the game’s release.

The top spot once again goes to Valve’s Steam Deck hardware, while Atlus’ Persona 5 Royal debuted in third place. This follows the game’s initial launch on PlayStation Western in 2017 and the release of the Extended Royal Edition in 2020.

In fifth place is the latest DLC for Rimworld, Biotech, which debuted on October 21. while pre-orders for Football Manager 2023 ranked sixth. The latter title is slated for release on November 8.

Sony’s latest PC release, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, debuted in seventh place. This bundle includes 2016’s A Thief’s End and 2017’s The Lost Legacy, both of which launched on PlayStation 4. This is the latest title Sony has rolled out on PC after Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Days Gone and Marvel’s Spider-Man .

Warner Bros. Gotham Knights, a superhero action game that stars Batman’s sidekicks, debuted at #8 and #10, despite launching the game to fairly lukewarm reviews.

At #9 is Red Dead Redemption 2.
