Chittoor wins first place in Nadu-Nedu, housing for the poor

Chitor: According to the Minister of Energy, Mines and Forests, the undivided district of Chittoor, which includes the present parts of Tirupati and Annamaya district, has landed the coveted top position in the implementation of Nadu- Nedu for the rejuvenation of public schools and in the housing program for the poor, if necessary. Addressing the general assembly of Zilla Parishad here on Saturday, the minister commended the district administration for the impressive performance in the two prestigious government programs of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and wished the collector and the officials are maintaining the same pace in other programs as well to bring the district to the top spot.

The meeting chaired by ZP Chairman G Srinivasulu was attended by Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, Chittoor MP N Reddappa, YSRCP Legislators A Srinivasulu (Chittoor), Venkat Goud (Palamaner), MS Babu ( Puthalapattu), Audimulam (Sathyavedu), N Bharat, MLC, ZPTC and District MPs. Briefing the media after the meeting, Ramachandra Reddy said the members, who attended the meeting, brought the local issues received to Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam ongoing program in the district to advise the chairman for a solution and observed that the door-to-door program was proving to be a blessing in disguise for solving local problems.

Instructions have been given to the District Collector to take immediate action to attend the remaining works, if any, no later than the next ZPP general meeting, said the minister informed that the government sanctioned Rs 20 lakh to every Sachivalayam in the state to solve the needs brought during Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam.

Tourism Minister RK Roja, Chief Government Whip Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Madanapalli MPs and Piler Nawaj Bhasha and C Ramachandra Reddy were conspicuously absent from the meeting.
