Chesterbrook, suburb of Philly, is the best place to live in America: Niche – NBC10 Philadelphia

For the third year in a row, the Philadelphia suburb of Chesterbrook has been ranked as the best place to live in the United States by data company Niche, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Montgomery County’s Penn Wynne and Ardmore rank 3rd and 6th respectively 2022 List of Best Places to Live in America.

The list was released Monday by Pittsburgh-based Niche, which based the ranking on data from the US Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and Centers for Disease Control. It took into account public schools, crime rates, job opportunities and local amenities in 18,515 cities and neighborhoods across the country.

Chesterbrook, located in Chester County, has a population of approximately 4,800 with a median home value of $323,000. It received an A+ designation for its public schools, housing, jobs, health and fitness, and ability to accommodate families. Niche touted Chesterbrook’s abundance of restaurants, cafes and parks, saying the area had “a dense suburban feel”.

Penn Wynne and Ardmore are neighbors just outside the West Philadelphia city limits. Median home values ​​in both localities exceed Chesterbrook, at $366,000 in Penn Wynne and $355,400 in Ardmore.

The Greater Philadelphia and Pennsylvania sites made significant progress from the 2021 rankings. Ardmore jumped 16 places from No. 22 last year, Swarthmore rose from No. 51 to No. 28, Narberth moved up 34 places to No. 43 and Berwyn moved up 110 places to No. 95. All received an overall A+ rating from Niche.
