Broncos place key player on injured reserve ahead of Week 10

Denver Broncos starting center Lloyd Cushenberry only played 44% of the offensive shots in week 8 when he injured his groin. The Broncos then entered a week off in hopes the extra rest would help their third-year rookie nurse return to 100 percent health.

Unfortunately, that was not the case.

On Tuesday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Cushenberry was heading to injured reserve and would be out for at least four weeks.

Graham Glasgow is placed behind Chusenberry on the depth chart and thinks to take control of all the tasks.

It’s an unfortunate turn of events for the young offensive lineman. Cushenberry has struggled in 2022, as evidenced by his 50.6 rating on PFF, but he has 40 games for the franchise since his rookie year.

Cushenberry’s earliest return is Week 14 when the Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
