The second place belonged to another new title, the revenge action flick “Remember,” which grossed $1.02 million for a 21% market share over the weekend. In its five days of opening, it grossed $1.62 million.

DC’s superhero film “Black Adam” went from first to third in its weak opening sequel. In its second weekend, it raked in $872,000 and a 19% market share. After 12 days in Korean cinemas, “Black Adam” has amassed $4.72 million.

The film is a remake of a Canadian-German co-production in which an Alzheimer’s patient seeks the revenge he has been plotting for 60 years against a pro-Japanese group that killed his entire family.

The arrival of two top-ranked local titles did little to rejuvenate the overall box office. The weekend’s box office total was $4.61 million, the third weekend in a row to score below $4 million.
Japanese animation “Crayon Shin-chan: School Mystery!” Splendid Tenkasu Academy” held on in fourth place with $321,000. The film has grossed $4.91 million in six weekends since its September 28, 2022 release.

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” with $297,000 took fifth place. After three weekends of release, it has racked up $1.34 million.

“Life Is Beautiful,” a romance and illness drama, took sixth place with $243,000 for a cumulative $7.01 million after six weekends.

“Confidential Assignment 2: International” has managed $119,000 for a cumulative $49.6 million since Sept. 8.

The anime film, “AINBO: Spirit of the Amazon” was the only other new title to top the chart. It earned $105,000 in its first five days open.
