Arizona Cardinals “first-round pick” Marquise Brown did not bring good news to fans.
After learning of Kyler Murray’s ridiculous contract stipulation, the last thing Arizona Cardinals fans suspected was bad news regarding Marquess “Hollywood” Brown. But, from day one of training camp, Brown was put on the “non-football injury list” with a hamstring injury.
It’s not worth speculating about an injury, as details will hopefully be on how bad it all is. But that’s not a good way to start training camp. Isn’t it ironic that today (the first day of boot camp) and the first day of the mandatory minicamp started with bad news (the Rodney Hudson drama)?
There’s a lot of talent behind him on the roster, but there’s also the fact that the Arizona Cardinals passed on a first-round pick to Brown. Naturally, Arizona Cardinals fans were unhappy on Twitter. You do not believe me ? Look yourself.

Arizona Cardinals aren’t off to a good start in 2022 preseason
It’s not the best news the Cardinals wanted, nor did Brown. But if it keeps him healthy and avoids running out of time like DeAndre Hopkins did last season, then so be it. But wouldn’t it be nice if the Arizona Cardinals could have a drama-free offseason for once?
Maybe that comes with winning a championship. But, who knows, stability in this franchise is hard to come by.
Here’s Brown to getting healthy and healthy fast. This may be an unorthodox way to get reps for guys lower on the depth chart while avoiding some wear and tear on Brown’s body.
It’s time to trust the Cardinals practice squad to see him right, and now the only thing we can do is wait.
