With a score of 100, the annual score assesses professional disability equality
WASHINGTON, July 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Amtrak has received the highest possible score on the 2022 Disability Equality Index (DEI®), which measures the concrete actions companies take to achieve disability inclusion and equality in the workplace. Rated out of 100, the DEI represents the most robust disability inclusion assessment tool with 415 companies using the DEI to benchmark their disability inclusion efforts.
DEI is a joint initiative of the American Association of Persons with Disabilities (AAPD), the nation’s largest disability rights organization, and Disability:IN, the global enterprise disability inclusion network that collectively advances the inclusion of people with disabilities. Launched in 2015 by Disability:IN and AAPD, the assessment measures corporate policies and practices that help companies establish a roadmap for disability inclusion in the workplace.

The DEI 2022 rates companies on detailed criteria under five central pillars:
